npower volunteer team make a big difference at Living Springs

Member of the Npower team at Living SpringsThe sun shone and the npower team set to work!
Undertaking a range of tasks - including the cladding and decoration of our grounds reception and training centre, repairing loose and broken fence posts, hedge trimming and clearance of the rabbit enclosure, and a thorough clearing and tidying of the paddock - the volunteers worked tirelessly to transform large areas of the grounds.

Commenting on the day, Living Springs Project Manager Martin Brown said: "We are immensely grateful for everything the team has achieved. The amount of work they got through exceeded all expectations. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves - even when exhausted! - and I spent the day in the company of a highly skilled, motivated group of people".

Speaking on behalf of the team, npower's Vikas Kolra said: "Thank you for giving us the opportunity. In my experience of volunteering events, by far this has been the best one. Martin, Tim and Jan supported us throughout the day, which kept the team’s motivation level high and the introductory talk from Jane in the morning and site tour in the afternoon gave us the reason for being there. After the event we all went for a meal and every single person in the group, even though very tired, really enjoyed themselves".

If you or a team from your company would like to volunteer in the future - whether for grounds work or other activities with the families - please get in touch with Martin Brown (company volunteering) or Lindsey Clode (individual volunteers) using the Contact form.
