From the early days, we have envisioned a mini farm to be located at the front of the Centre. On occasion we have taken sheep on short term ‘loan’ from the adjacent farm and these have always proved popular with visiting children, together with the ducks which make their home on the small pond.

We aim to significantly develop this aspect of the work, which will offer space to relax together in surroundings that these children and families rarely – if ever – have experienced. Working with local volunteers, we will create a small Community Farm at the Centre which will enhance our facilities. Children and young people visiting Living Springs, or those who stay on a regular basis, will have more to enjoy and occupy them and their family, as these visits for the child can sometimes be stressful.

Raising funds for this project is one of our 20th Anniversary Projects. If you would like to help to make the Project a reality by becoming a volunteer, we'd love to hear from you.

Our heart is for children who experience much trauma to look forward to and remember a special something in their lives whilst visiting Living Springs.
